Powell Peralta - Hill Bulldog Tee White
Frankie Hill, a Santa Barbara local, was recognized for his "daredevil" mentality, particularly when filming skate videos. His breakout part in Ban This, lasting for one minute and 38 seconds, solidified Hill as a pioneer in tackling big rails and massive gaps. Fans flooded him with mail after the release, eager to know when he would turn pro. The opportunity presented itself when Mike Vallely left the team, and Hill took over his board shape, with a larger nose. While on vacation with Hastings, Hill appropriated a bulldog image from an Amsterdam "coffee shop" and used it as his first professional graphic. This design, created by Sean Cliver in 1990, has become iconic.
